Piers Morgan has received backlash after he tweeted about Meghan Markle during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. After the traditional Trooping of the Colour ceremony, Piers took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the day’s festivities.The 57-year-old posted a picture of Prince Louis with his hands over his ears as the RAF flypast went over their heads, causing him to scrunch up his face in discontent.The royal family were stood on the Buckingham Palace balcony when the planes put on their display and Piers shared some snaps of the moment.He posted them to his 7.9 million Twitter followers and quipped: “Is this when Aunty Meghan arrived?”The controversial journalist ended his remark with laughing emojis but followers weren’t having any of his offensive comment.One wrote that he was a “out of step with the nation” while another urged him to “stop projecting his obsession”.Another tweeted: “You need to let it go, it has become an unhealthy infatuation”.
A quick witted user also joked that Louis was “re-enacting Piers’ crying tantrum whenever Meghan Markle ’s name is mentioned”.
