After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on 2 June, it is said they were hoping for a private photographer to capture the moment their child met her great-grandmother for the first time.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, who is named after a nickname of Queen Elizabeth II, turned one during the extended weekend celebrations.
However, the 96 year old Queen told them “no chance” when asked. She reportedly feared that the images would be leaked to television networks in the States, where the couple reside.
