The Queen reportedly banned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from sharing snaps of her first meeting with great-granddaughter Lilibet as she wanted to keep the event as a "family affair" according to a source.

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on 2 June, it is said they were hoping for a private photographer to capture the moment their child met her great-grandmother for the first time.

However, the 96 year old monarch was reportedly not keen on the idea and told the couple that the photos would not be going ahead.

She also reportedly feared that the images would be leaked to television networks in the States, where the couple reside. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter.
