Piers Morgan has bragged about a story about him describing his controversial exit from ITV's Good Morning Britain as a "farce" topping the most read stories list on the BBC website.
The presenter made his remarks as he discussed the launch of his first TV show since he stormed out of ITV over a row with Meghan Markle.
The loudmouth shared a screen grab of the BBC's most read stories list captioned: "Do love being number one."Piers left ITV after he said he did not believe Meghan’s claims from her Oprah Winfrey interview which sparked more than 50,000 complaints to Ofcom - but the regulator later rejected them saying doing so would be a "chilling restriction" on free expression.
Piers Morgan Uncensored will air on the new TalkTV channel in the UK as well as being screened in the US and Australia.Speaking at the launch event for his new show, Piers said: "I thought the whole thing was a farce, and I’m delighted that actually as a result of the farce, we’ve ended up with a whole network which is now dedicated to preventing that kind of farce from recurring."You shouldn’t be shamed or vilified or cancelled for having an opinion, unless you genuinely are spewing hateful bigoted stuff."I don’t intend to do that; I’ve never done that before in my broadcasting time.
