Piers never returned to the ITV news programme after storming off during a heated debate with the show's weatherman Alex Beresford.
The pair clashed when Alex challenged comments made in a previous show in which he refused to believe claims made by Meghan Markle in her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Hours after he walked off the ITV set, before briefly returning to finish the show, his permanent exit from the show was confirmed, with him since claiming it was a "farce".
