Everton are on the verge of signing Southampton's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after the midfielder agreed personal terms. A report from the Southern Daily Echo states that both clubs have also agreed on a £25million fee.
Hojbjerg was expected to leave St Mary's this summer for a new challenge having been transfer listed by his club in recent weeks.
The 24-year-old was forthcoming with his ambitions to play at a "higher level" and will now become Carlo Ancelotti's first signing at Goodison Park.
Southampton had already stripped Hojbjerg of the club captaincy following his comments, and now cash-in on the player, who had just a year remaining on his contract.
