Kostas Tsimikas will complete his £11.75m move to Liverpool on Tuesday, after agreeing contract terms in principle with the champions.
The Greece international left back has arrived on Merseyside to finalise talks over the move, and undergo a medical at a private hospital in the city.
It is understood Tsimikas will complete negotiations on the small print of his contract, after confirming he is ready to commit to a deal of around £40,000 a week, that will increase with bonuses.
Liverpool turned to the 24-year-old after having two bids rejected for Norwich defender Jamal Lewis. His club were adamant they would not budge on their £20m valuation for a player who has experienced just one season in the Premier League.
