Rachel Riley's tearful row with 'frustrated' husband Pasha amid 'horrible online abuse'
Rachel Riley has confessed that she had fights with her husband, former Strictly Come Dancing professional Pasha Kovalev, after anti-Semitic comments from online trolls had left her in tears. The star recalled how Pasha would become “frustrated” when she got upset and told her she was “not allowed to cry”.  Ahead of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown's return, Rachel, 36, spoke candidly about the effect the cruel messages had on her relationship with husband Pasha, 42.The star discussed the “horrible” abuse she received with Anna Whitehouse on her Dirty Mother Pukka podcast back in May this year. She told Anna: “At one stage I spoke publicly on a podcast and it was like a tap had been turned on.“Literally, it felt like someone had pressed a button and sent them all in my direction all at once,” she said, referring to the online hatred she had received when she publicly campaigned against anti-Semitism. “It was overwhelming and it was my birthday week and I just remember I was crying because something really horrible had happened,” Rachel remembered. “And Pasha was saying: ‘Look, if you’re going to do this, you’re not allowed to cry!’“I think it was one of the only times we argued about it, actually, and he’s been so supportive and we talked about it and then he never said anything along that realm."She added: “He was just frustrated that he could see these horrible people getting to me.” When Anna asked Rachel about her tears once more, the maths whizz confirmed she “won’t be joining any more Twitter pile-ons".Rachel has not been afraid to voice her views online over the years, particularly when it came to accusations of anti-Semitism from within Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party. The star has often been outspoken about Labour

Alan Sugar rages he ‘would have voted for Dot Cotton' rather than Jeremy Corbyn
@Aimz_1987 wrote in response: “That’s some brass neck you have, I’ll give you that.” Lord Sugar retorted jokingly, saying: “I would have voted for Dot Cotton to keep Corbyn out.” He was referring to the EastEnders character played by June Brown, who died aged 95 in April. Fans rushed to the comments to share their opinions on the subject. @Nottmsteveh said: “Surely you must admit the huge mess the tories have made in the last 12 years. “Brexit, highest proportionate covid deaths, highest inflation in Europe along with the lowest growth of developed economies. “Not great eh?”@Martincoops4 wrote: “Before 2020 so would I but we went full Commie anyway to reverse the democratic decision of Brexit so it made no difference in the end.” @MartinJWalpole commented: “We want Boris, his enthusiasm is second to none, who cares about the odd porky.. “He did a great job.” @Ant78mufc penned: “Because Corbyn had a plan for the country. “Boris was going to see us leave the EU at any cost. “The cost of which we are finding now and is increasingly being blamed on a war we ain't even fighting.” Despite his initial tweet, Lord Sugar has been an outspoken critic of Johnson, who recently resigned from office.Back in December, he demanded the Conservative politician "resign NOW" following the spread of the Omicron Covid variant. He also joked that Johnson, along with his cabinet, never would have got through the first round of auditions of The Apprentice.

Rachel Riley claims JK Rowling’s trans views attacked due to her defence of Jews
Rachel Riley made her controversial comments after JK Rowling caused a social media storm by arguing that those who are biologically female and who have periods should be referred to as "women" and not "people who menstruate".The latter term was adopted by some to be more gender-inclusive to those who are trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming.Rachel, who was recently involved in an explosive libel case against one of Jeremy Corbyn's former aides in court, has claimed opinions on anti-semitism are at the heart of the trans debate."I think a lot of the attacks on JK Rowling are really because she spoke out for Jews and against Jeremy Corbyn and antisemitism," Rachel declared. Also discussing the Harry Potter author's philanthropic work, Riley defended: “She has made a real difference to the world. However, the Countdown star exclaimed: "[Just saying] this will get us both cancelled.”The trans debate has also focused on the use of the term "birthing people", which was introduced by a Brighton and Sussex Hospital Trust as an addition to "pregnant women" - something JK Rowling and fellow activists feel strongly about.Rachel had already experienced what she described as cancel culture when she sued a former aide of Labour politician Jeremy Corbyn for libel.Laura Murray had made a controversial tweet about her comments which Rachel claimed led to a campaign to have ousted from Countdown and cancelled.Rachel, who has been vocal in the past about troll attacks directed at her, says she received a barrage of "abuse" after commenting on eggs being thrown at Corbyn. The former leader of the Labour Party had been visiting a mosque in Finsbury Park, North London when he'd been pelted with eggs by a Brexit supporter back in
