Dr Hilary Jones looks unrecognisable in striking 90s throwback clip on Lorraine
ITV star Dr Hilary Jones looked worlds away from his usual professional self when he made his first TV debut on Lorraine back in the 1990s.The 68-year-old is now a well-known doctor who shares a wide range of medical advice to viewers across various morning ITV shows. However, the TV star’s showbiz career came from humble beginnings after he first joined the ITV team on GMTV back in May 1989 when he was just 35 years old.And it’s fair to say he looks almost un recognisable now after Lorraine Kelly shared a striking throwback clip of the doctor as he shared some of the main signs that could point to a meningitis diagnosis. In the throwback clip, the dad-of-five sports a full head of dark brown curly locks as he advises viewers on the outward signs of Meningitis with the equally youthful looking Eamonn Holmes. He chuckled: “There’s a picture of me as a much younger looking man here showing the tumbler test, yes that was years ago.” Lorraine couldn’t help but aww at the star’s younger self, as she gasped: “Oh, look at you - and there’s Eamonn!” It comes as the 62-year-old Scott welcomed Bucks Fizz star Jay Aston's daughter onto the show as she opened up about the side effects she is experiencing after she nearly died from the illness. Josie, 19, almost passed away earlier his year after she was diagnosed with the infection as her parents told her that she only had a 50% chance of survival.
