Hollywood Reporter.Marc suffered from glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, and died at his home in Dallas, Texas on July 29.Peri, 62, also paid tribute to her brother and his wife, Kaki Gilpin, in an emotional Instagram post.“Kaki and Marc took care of each other with kindness, strength, dignity and invaluable humor,” the “Make It or Break It” star began. “When Marc became ill, Kaki and their boys surrounded Marc with love, hugs, and round the clock support and care.

Jaws 2 as a child actor, has died aged 56.Gilpin died on Saturday (July 29) in Dallas after a battle with glioblastoma, as confirmed by his sister and Frasier actor Peri Gilpin to The Hollywood Reporter.In the 1978 sequel to Jaws, Gilpin played Sean Brody, the youngest son of Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider). In Steven Spielberg’s original Jaws, Sean was played by Jay Mello.Gilpin’s other credits include 1981 sci-fi comedy film Earthbound and The Legend Of The Lone Ranger, which also starred Christopher Lloyd.

Marc Gilpin, the child actor who played a son of Roy Scheider’s Police Chief Martin Brody in 1978’s Jaws 2, died Saturday in Dallas of the aggressive brain cancer glioblastoma. He was 56.

Details of her part haven’t been revealed, but it’s described as a “primary role.” She joins a cast that includes Leslie Odom Jr., Ann Dowd, Lidya Jewett and Ellen Burstyn, who is reprising her role as Chris MacNeil from the 1973 original. The new take on the possession story is being produced by Blumhouse and Morgan Creek for Universal and Peacock. The first film in the trilogy will be released theatrically on Oct. 13, 2023. Nettles is known for both her acting and her music. She most recently played Jenna Hunterson in the Broadway musical “Waitress.” Nettles also appears on HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” and had a supporting role in the Oscar-nominated Harriet Tubman biopic, “Harriet.” She is a judge on TBS’ competition series “Go-Big Show” and will host Fox’s “The Farmer Wants a Wife.”
