Dwayne Johnson is pulling back on his support of Joe Rogan in light of the recently unearthed compilation video, publicized by India Arie, in which the comedian is seen using the N-word nearly two dozen times in past episodes of his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

This read: "Our beloved earth angel, Ronnie, peacefully left this world today after a brief battle with cancer."She was with family and in the arms of her husband, Jonathan."Ronnie lived her life with a twinkle in her eye, a spunky attitude, a wicked sense of humor and a smile on her face.She was filled with love and gratitude.The beautiful statement continued: "Her joyful sound, playful nature and magical presence will live on in all who knew, heard or saw her."In lieu of flowers, Ronnie requested that donations be made to your local women’s shelter or to the American Indian College Fund."A celebration of Ronnie’s life and music will be announced in the future."Her family also asked for privacy as their mourn her death. Ronnie was born Veronica Greenfield in New York City and went on to form The Ronettes with her sister.The band was comprised of sister Estelle Bennett and their cousin Nedra Talley, and had a number of hits in the 1960s.Following their success, the group broke up in 1967 following a European concert.Ronnie went on to begin a solo career, releasing five studio albums over her lifetime.She also released an autobiography, entitled Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts, and Madness, Or, My Life as a Fabulous Ronette in 1990.In 2007, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Ronnie is survived by her husband and manager Jonathan Greenfield and their two sons, Austin Drew and Jason Charles.Following the news of her death, tributes have poured in for the star.Don Winslow wrote on Twitter: "'The voice' Ladies and Gentlemen Ronnie Spector. RIP.

Author Don Winslow has set his first three-book series since his bestselling Border Trilogy that focused on the battle between the DEA and Mexican Cartels. Winslow’s City On Fire sets off a different criminal war, when it gets launched September 2021. The sequel City of Dreams comes September 2022, followed by the third and as yet untitled title that follows a year later in fall 2023, all from William Morrow/Harper Collins.  All three books are finished, and they will be shopped for screen shortly after the Memorial Day holiday.
