William Hurt, Oscar-winning actor, dies aged 71

Kiss of the Spider Woman, for which he won Best Actor at the 1985 Oscars, passed away today (March 13) of natural causes. He had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in early 2018.As Deadline report, Hurt’s son Will announced his death in a statement, writing: “It is with great sadness that the Hurt family mourns the passing of William Hurt, beloved father and Oscar winning actor, on March 13, 2022, one week before his 72nd birthday.

He died peacefully, among family, of natural causes.
