Hamilton yesterday morning. The 90-year-old man had been crossing the road at Leechlee Road, near Brandon Street, when he was hit by a red Ford Kuga at around 9.25am on Friday.He was seen using a three-wheeled walker at the time of the incident.
Emergency crews raced the elderly man to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where medical staff have described his condition as 'critical'.
The 32-year-old driver of the car involved in the incident was unharmed.Police Scotland has now launched an appeal for information as officers continue their enquiries into the horror smash.
