A young paramedic who didn't suffer from a cough and high temperature after testing positive for coronavirus has warned others to look out for unusual symptoms.
Kirstine Adkin, 24, said the deadly bug can trigger unusual symptoms, in a diary she kept to track her illness. The NHS medic revealed she couldn't taste raw garlic, ground coffee or cinnamon and lost her sense of taste and smell after contracting the deadly bug.
Less obvious symptoms are being discovered as researchers and doctors find out more about the new virus. Miss Adkin said at first she started with a headache and backache but put it down to work stress.
