The owner of 52 of the UK's biggest nightclubs is on the brink of administration, putting 1,500 jobs at risk. Deltic Group, which owns Oceana, Pryzm, Atik, Eden and Bar&Beyond, has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators amid widespread closures since March 23.
Deltic would be in its peak period under normal circumstances with the start of the university term. However, venues have suffered during the pandemic, with many forced to close since March.
This week, the business confirmed it had filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, a legal measure that provides protection from creditors for 10 working days.
