New mentoring programme to help students prepare for university amid pandemic

A new online mentoring programme is being launched to help students across the country prepare for university during the Covid-19 crisis.

The charity Brightside has responded to the urgent challenge of the pandemic with detailed plans to support Year 13 students.

Hundreds of thousands of school leavers are facing unprecedented hurdles in their transition to university. Aimed at young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, Brightside has support from a coalition of nine higher education institutions in a national programme.
