Meghan Markle's birthday messages have 'hidden signs' from members of Royal Family

Royal Family left “hidden signs” in their birthday messages to Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert. The Duchess of Sussex was inundated with birthday wishes from the Royal Family the year she and Prince Harry decided to leave royal working life.

Despite tensions, the Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton all put differences aside to wish Meghan a happy 39th Birthday in 2004.

The Queen was the first to post a message of congratulations on social media before the Cambridges and Prince Charles and Camilla followed on.However, Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty magazine, believes there was much more to the posts than just a short message of best wishes.Ms Seward believes the Queen and other royals know how “sensitive Meghan is” and made sure to congratulate her despite the feud.The Queen’s team posted a photo of the Duchess of Sussex smiling with Her Majesty at a joint event in 2018 in Chester with a message that said: "Wishing the Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!"Ms Seward said: "I am sure Meghan’s first reaction will be 'what a nice gesture', then later she might consider it just part of the royal machine she and Harry hate so much."We will probably never know but I hope it’s just the former."Kate and William later posted on their Kensington Royal Instagram account: "Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!"The post featured a picture of delighted Meghan holding hands with a young schoolgirl and they ended their message with a birthday cake emoji and a balloon emoji.Prince Charles and Camilla also posted on their Clarence House social media accounts by simply saying: "Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!"Ms Seward believes the fact Kate and William posted shows how “sassy”.
