Households could be rewarded for using less power tomorrow as the National Grid runs a live event of its Demand Flexibility Service (DFS).

The scheme allows people who have signed up the chance to save money during certain times outside of peak hours if they use less electricity.

A DFS Service Requirement has been issued for tomorrow, Monday January 23, between 17:00pm and 18:00pm, the Express reports.

If your supplier has signed up to the scheme and you have a smart meter you are eligible to join. Those already signed up will receive a notification of any live events that could save them money.
