Mum's fury at 'teacher's threat to cut bows off daughter's socks' on first school day

As well as a teacher allegedly telling her he would cut off the bows on her socks if she wore them again, she was reportedly told her black tote bag was "inappropriate" and needed to be replaced, reported the Manchester Evening News.The schoolgirl's mum, who asked not to be named, shared a photo of her daughter's black socks and bag and says she can't understand why the school has taken issue with them. The mum said her daughter was upset when she returned home on Monday and asked whether she could move schools.Yesterday (Tuesday, September 6) she took her old rucksack from primary school and wore some grey socks without bows, but her mum says she has now been given a detention for this in two weeks' time."She received a 12 minute detention," said the mum.
