Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has admitted it is important to switch the 'club chip' off when players meet up for international duty.

The 25-year-old defender plays alongside Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo at City and with Portugal. Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium in 2020, Dias has strengthened his bond with the pair but has also maintained his friendship with his Portuguese teammates at Manchester United.

On the other half of Manchester, the Reds have three Portugal internationals within their ranks - Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot.

All six players are expected to be included in Portugal's squad for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
