Manchester City have been dealt a major injury blow ahead of the Manchester derby after watching John Stones pull up with a hamstring problem while playing for England on Monday night.
Stones, 28, was recalled to the starting XI against Germany by Gareth Southgate after missing the Italy match due to suspension.
However, his return lasted 37 minutes before the centre-back was withdrawn. City teammate Kyle Walker came on to replace John Stones having only just returned from injury himself.
In doing so, Walker earned his 70th international cap at Wembley.
