Police believe they have located the mum of a newborn baby boy whose body was discovered in a private garden yesterday. Officers were called at 8.50am on Saturday after a member of the public found the body of a newborn baby boy in a private garden on Victoria Quadrant in Weston-super-Mare.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary said it is currently treating the baby's death as unexplained. The force asked the public for any relevant information as it was "extremely concerned" for the mother's welfare.
But now they believe they have found the woman. Detective chief inspector Mike Buck said: "Earlier today we issued an appeal to locate the mother of a newborn baby, whose body was found in a private garden in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday morning. "D
