More than £50,000 worth of clocks have gone missing from the Foreign Office, the Mirror can reveal. According to newly released documents, nine antique timepieces, valued at £53,000, were “unlawfully removed” from storage in the department’s King Charles Street building in July last year.
Police were called in, but have been unable to investigate further because of "lack of leads,” the documents show. The items are still missing, and are on the Police’s ‘stolen antiques’ list.
