A nimble ‘fairy queen’ from Ireland has gone viral after stealing the show at the Miss Universe pageant in the best way possible.

Nadia Sayers, a native of Omagh, Co Tyrone, represented the country at the 69th annual pageant, which took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami.

While Mexico’s ultimately Andrea Meza took home the crown in a competition that was filled with social and political commentary, Miss Universe Ireland set tongues wagging for her seriously boss move to ensure she got screen time.

While on stage, the dainty Belfast-based psychologist stood behind host Mario Lopez – obscuring her from view, which Nadia was clearly having none of.
