Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday night (April 28), before finding the Underbanks stairs covered in broken glass bottles.
Councillor Becky Crawford, who represents the Brinnington and Central ward, has branded those responsible as ‘mindless vandals’.
