Terrilee Yates, 32, was sentenced this week to a community order after admitting taking Jane Godfrey’s bank cards when she found her dead in her home in Swinton in March 2020.
She used them to buy a McDonald's meal, £14.50 worth of scratchcards and to withdraw £300 in cash. She initially claimed that Ms Godfrey had given her permission to take the money.
But Yates, of Cheetham Hill, later pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud by false representation and was handed a 18 month community order.
