Viagra tablets on the black market have avoided a jail sentence. Henry Brown and Judith Purdy had obtained a large collection of the erectile dysfunction medication from a contact in Singapore.
The pair were also dealing thousands of other tablets of prescribed medication, including a strong painkiller and a sleeping tablet, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
Now Brown, 59, who worked as an HGV driver and carer Purdy, 57, have been given suspended prison sentences, Chronicle Live reported.
The conspiracy initially came to light in March 2019 when two parcels which had been posted to Brown were intercepted and examined and found to contain tramadol and zopiclone, both class C drugs.The following month, police went to his home.
