plane has been forced to make an emergency landing in Spain after more than 50 passengers were injured ten minutes into the flight.
An emergency protocol was activated at Ambrosio Taravella Airport in the city of Córdoba this afternoon.It is believed a mechanical issue sparked chaos on-board a flight and left 54 passengers injured on Friday, March 4.
According to local station ElDoce.tv, the problem stemmed from mechanical depressurisation. It has been reported that the control tower was alerted immediately and the plane made its way back to the airport.
Journalist Leonardo Guevara took to social media to notify his followers about the incident.He said: "Aerolineas Argentinas plane suffered damage due to a depressurisation in mid-flight with 54 injured passengers. "There is a huge security operation at the Taravella airport with ambulances and specialised personnel."It is believed emergency services were ready waiting at the airport so they could examine over 140 passengers.It remains unknown at this time on the condition of the passengers who sustained injuries.
