McDonald's staff leave note on dad and daughter's receipt that stuns both of them
dailystar.co.ukMcDonald's staff anxiously handed them over a receipt with a message written on top. Vinny Timmins, 49, and Emily Timmins, 18, said they were recognised on the street after the honest note went viral which highlighted Vinny's lack of hair.
They visited the drive-thru of McDonald's at Stonedale Retail Park in Liverpool but were asked to come and collect their meal inside because the staff were run off their feet. READ MORE Pensioner who molested horse forced to do unpaid work for McDonald's sex attack The pair said they went to the counter and noticed a worker was behaving "sheepishly" when they asked them whether they wanted their receipt.But they were stunned when they looked at the piece of paper which described Vinny as "Silver (bald)."Emily, from Norris Green, Merseyside, told the ECHO: "My dad looked at the receipt and laughed.
Then he looked up and said 'you cheeky bugger.'"And the man just said 'they don't make my life easy do they.'"The teen decided to share the blunder on Facebook, alongside a selfie of her and her dad in December 2019.She captioned the post: "They normally write your registration number on your receipt so they know which car to go to."But Emily says her dad didn't take offence and said he "couldn't stop laughing" once they left the fast food restaurant."I was crying laughing and he couldn't stop laughing either," she added."People have been recognising him since it happened."He went to an Everton match and the man next to him said his daughter recognised us both off Facebook."We still can't stop laughing now." More recently in Liverpool, a McDonald's branch banned all under-18s from entering past 5pm.
