An elderly dog whose owner was no longer able to care for him has found himself in rescue waiting to find someone who can. Rascal has been a resident at Dogs Trust Manchester since November 2021, and would like to find a home before having to spend his second Christmas in kennels.

A Greater Manchester animal charity is appealing to dog lovers to ‘think big’ when it comes to welcoming a four-legged friend into their home. Dogs Trust Manchester, in Denton, are appealing to find homes for some of their larger-than-life residents after finding themselves with the greatest number of big breeds they’ve ever cared for.

A gorgeous cross breed who loves treats is on the hunt for a home in Manchester. The beautiful bull breed, called Nala, is somewhat shy, but is hoping someone will take a chance on her and help her come out of her shell.

Four-year-old Freddie was found wandering the streets during the pandemic, and 18 months on, he’s still homeless. Now the playful pooch is hoping he can find a new home where he can play with his favourite squeaky ball.
