Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane could have a career as an NFL kicker when he retires from football, according to a Spurs legend.Clive Allen, who knows a thing or two about what it takes to make it in the sport of gridiron, backed the England skipper all the way.

The 61-year-old former England international swapped offsides for offence at the end of his football playing days when he joined the London Monarchs, a franchise of NFL Europe.He reckons Kane would be perfectly "capable" of following him and making the switch, words that will be news to the ears of the 29-year-old England centre-forward, who is a big fan of American Football. He has openly admitted in the past that he has ambitions to become an NFL kicker when he retires. It's an ambition that Allen fully endorses. "I had that experience with London Monarchs at the end of my career in NFL Europe," Allen told Daily Star Sport in conjunction with cheekypunter.com. "Harry could do it, he will find it fascinating because it's a completely different technique from kicking a football.

It's strange, straight leg, locked knee and pointed toe. He would be capable though, he has the mentality, I've seen him work and train which he would have to do.
