Glasgow.Emergency services were sent to the scene on Shettleston Road at around 4.50pm on Friday after the alarm was raised.
The road has been closed while seven fire engines battle to put out the flames, Glasgow Live reports. A shocking picture from the scene shows smoke billowing out from the ground floor property while several emergency workers battle the flames.Glasgow City Council’s Traffic Management team TRAFFCOM have released a bulletin.It reads: “Shettleston Road is closed in both directions between Vesalius Street and Chester Street, this is due to a building fire.
Please use an alternative route.” Police Scotland confirmed they are in attendance supporting the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service..
