Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested Jesse Lingard will 'play a part' in Manchester United's upcoming fixture schedule. Lingard, 28, seems set to leave United next year as he is out of contract in June and discussions over a new deal have collapsed.
The England international has not started in a Premier League game for United since New Year's Day in 2020 and his only club start this season was in the League Cup loss to West Ham.
Lingard has scored twice off the bench for United, including the winner at West Ham in September, and he also cleverly assisted Cristiano Ronaldo's stoppage-time winner against Villarreal later that month.
