Jesse Lingard has been told he would be the perfect fit for Newcastle United as doubts remain over his Manchester United future.

The winger’s contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer, and he could secure a move away from United as the January transfer window approaches.

West Ham have been the most prominent side linked after Lingard’s successful loan spell in East London last season, although other clubs have been mentioned as potential destinations.

A return to the Hammers was talked up during the summer, but Lingard chose to stay with United in order to try and force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.
