Newcastle United have been urged to go after Jesse Lingard in Janury, as well as Manchester United target Kieran Trippier. Lingard’s future at Old Trafford looks in doubt with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season and talks over an extension stalling.
The 28-year-old chose to remain with United in the summer after a hugely impressive loan spell at West Ham last season, with the aim of forcing his way back into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.
The winger though has been limited to cameo appearances off the bench, with his only start this season coming in the Carabao Cup, which was a defeat to the Hammers.
