Manchester United are confident of hiring Mauricio Pochettino as their next permanent manager. Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be demanding £10million in compensation for Pochettino, who wants to join United straightaway.
United paid Ole Gunnar Solskjaer £7.75million in compensation, so the cost of the managerial change would be just shy of £18m, with other United coaching departures expected to accommodate any new staff Pochettino would bring in.
United have still not made an official approach for Pochettino, who arrives in Manchester today for PSG's penultimate Champions League group stage match against City.
