Manchester United have today announced the arrival of German coach Ralf Rangnick as the club's new interim manager. The 63-year-old is seen as one of the godfathers of German football and will oversee all proceedings with the United until the end of this season.

Also agreed is that upon completion of his six month contract, he will then take up a two year consultancy role, overseeing decisions made both on and off the field.

The Reds departed with former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer early last week and have since opted to appointment an interim manager until the end of the 21/22 campaign before looking to sound out his replacement over the summer.
