Edinson Cavani is eyeing up a move to Barcelona next summer, having shelved plans to return to South America. That’s according to The Times, who say the Catalan giants are set to swoop for the Manchester United striker, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Uruguayan had looked set to leave Old Trafford earlier this year, but was persuaded by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to remain with the club for another season.
Cavani’s father gave an interview with Argentine outlet TyC Sports back in March, in which he said his son would be making the move to Boca Juniors, but any plans of moving back to South America seemed to fall by the wayside.
