Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are set to battle it out for West Ham United flop Sebastien Haller in the summer.The Ivory Coast international has been rejuvenated at Ajax under Erik ten Hag since returning to the Netherlands in January 2021 after a difficult spell in east London.

Haller is the Hammers' record signing after arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt for £45million in the summer of 2019 but managed just 14 goals in 54 appearances.However, he could now get another crack at the Premier League, with The Sun reporting that Ten Hag is eyeing Haller as his first signing at United.Ten Hag is keen to bring the 27-year-old with him from Ajax and sees him as a cheaper alternative to United's other striker targets, such as Harry Kane and Darwin Nunez.Ajax are understood to be willing to allow Haller to leave for around £35million in the summer, having only paid £20million to sign him just over a year ago.Bundesliga giants Dortmund are also said to be keen on a move for Haller and are lining him up to replace Erling Haaland, who is set to join Manchester City this summer.United are expected to move for a striker when the transfer window re-opens in the summer, with Edinson Cavani expected to leave Old Trafford when his contract expires at the end of June.Should Manchester United sign Sebastien Haller in the summer?
