David Beckham has claimed the Manchester United players have "done what they can do best" amid the club's dreadful form this season.The Red Devils were comfortably beaten by Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, with the 4-0 defeat condemning United to their lowest points tally in the Premier League era.
United are also now unable to qualify for next season's Champions League as a result of the defeat, with fourth placed Arsenal now out of reach with just one match left.Beckham, who was attending Sunday's Miami Grand Prix, was asked for his thoughts on his old club's poor season.Speaking to Sky Sports, the former England captain explained: "It's been a tough end to the season.
But it is the end of the season, I'm sure a lot of fans are thankful of that because it's been a tough one -- full of ups and downs."The players have done what they can do best, so has the manager.
