Roy Keane believes Manchester United would be in a better position than they're in now if they had refrained from sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Keane made the admission following United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday evening. Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net just two minutes after the Blues had opened the scoring through Marcos Alonso to seal an unlikely point.
The draw has left United sixth in the Premier League table with three games left to play, five points shy of the top four. Although their Champions League hopes are not mathematically over, the fact that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have games in hand means that United would need a miracle to qualify for Europe's premier club competition for next season. However, they have failed to respond to the German's demands, meaning the 2021-22 season will go down as one of the most forgettable in the club's recent history.
