Cristiano Ronaldo’s successful penalty against Brentford on Monday night means he has scored in four consecutive league matches for the first time this season.
The Manchester hero took his overall season tally to 24 goals and bumped up his league record to 18 for the campaign. He has now netted six times in his last four matches, which included a hat-trick against Norwich last month.

He is by some distance the club’s top scorer this term, sitting 14 ahead of second-place Bruno Fernandes.
