Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has snubbed David de Gea and named Alisson Becker, Ederson, Jose Sa, and Aaron Ramsdale as the four best goalkeepers of the current Premier League campaign.
De Gea has been a very bright light in an otherwise desperate season for the Red Devils. While Ralf Rangnick's sides’ hopes for Champions League qualification appear to be over, the Spaniard, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at the other end, has almost single handily kept United in the race for the top four.
This campaign could arguably be labelled one for redemption for the experienced shot-stopper, after he finished the previous campaign behind Dean Henderson and having missed the crucial penalty in the Europa League final defeat to Villarreal.
But despite De Gea’s heroics, Foster believes the Liverpool, Manchester City, Wolves, and Arsenal goalkeepers have enjoyed better campaigns."I've had to streamline it to four goalkeepers," Foster said on the Fozcast Podcast when asked about De Gea's absence.
