Manchester United faced severe backlash after publishing a "tone deaf" tweet during their match with Norwich. There had been a large-scale protest against the Glazers' ownership of the Red Devils which started before the match and lasted for 17 minutes outside Old Trafford after kick-off, representing the amount of years since the American family took over.Shortly after that had concluded the club's social media account then posted a video of their "stateside fans enjoying" Cristiano Ronaldo's opening goal in the 7th minute of the game.
The scenes in the American fan zone were a stark contrast to those on this side of the pond.Safe to say it didn't go down well with the club's English supporters.
One replied: "This account is really tone deaf. Posting this video knowing well about the protests is to mock those people who are protesting and the problems facing the club."Another wrote: "Club has protests against them all the while saying "They respect opinions" then proceed to show American Utd fans instead of the ones who actually went to the match.
How you gonna respect opinions if you don't show the fans who want the best for this club. Sad club."United fans - how do you feel about your club right now?
