took his own life with a sword while high on ecstasy, an inquest heard. Police, at first, treated Jonathan Clapham's death on October 15 last year as suspicious and then 'unexplained'.
Gloucester Coroner's Court heard on July 8 that a sword complete with a copper coloured handle was found at Mr Clapham's flat with his blood smeared on the weapon.
Pathologist for the Home Office, Dr Williams, found Mr Clapham's body contained high levels of the drug MDMA, more commonly known as ecstasy, as well as cannabis and low levels of ketamine, reports Gloucestershire Live.
The inquest heard from detective inspector David Parry-Jones, who stated that Mr Clapham had moved to the UK approximately 20 years ago with his parents and two siblings.
