Man's body pulled from Glasgow river as Police Scotland launch probe

Cops are investigating after a man's body has been found in a Glasgow river earlier this morning. The grim discovery was made in the River Kelvin by the Belmont Street bridge in Glasgow 's west end today, October 19.

Officers from Police Scotland cordoned off the scene with inquiries underway to identify the man and his cause of death. An appeal for information on the find has been issued by the nationwide force.A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 6.30AM on Monday the 19th of October, police received a report of a man's body in the River Kelvin near to Belmont bridge."Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.".
