Lorraine Kelly was left in floods of tears on Friday morning, as ITV bosses surprised her with a visit from an old friend.During a segment on friendship to celebrate International Friendship Month - which runs throughout February - Lorraine was shown a series of throwback snaps and a video interview with her friend Joyce. The pair had grown up together, attended each other's weddings and supported each other through various life events - including the London Marathon. But as the segment drew to a close, Dr Amir Khan brought out Lorraine's next surprise - Joyce was at the studio in person.Lorraine couldn't believe what she was seeing as she broke down in floods of tears, glad to see her pal in the flesh - but unable to hug her due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions."Oh, I can't hug you, can I?" Lorraine asked as she began to cry. "I can't believe this!"The pair soon arranged to go "out on the town" together, with Lorraine quizzing Joyce in disbelief: "Can we really go out?
You're not leaving?" and Joyce emotionally replying in the affirmative. The pair had been relying on video calls to meet up in recent months, unable to see each other in person due to both work commitments and the pandemic. This is a live TV story and is constantly being updated. Please refresh the page regularly to get the latest TV updates.TV & Showbiz reporters are working to source the latest information, reaction, pictures and video related to this story.
