Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother slams ‘malarkey stories’ about her childhood in new Netflix show: ‘Nobody’s buying it’
Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., has slammed the “malarkey stories” she shared about her childhood in her new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan.”The Duchess of Sussex’s highly anticipated cooking series premiered on the platform Tuesday, which saw her share her tips and tricks for hosting at home. The “Suits” alum, 43, called herself a “latchkey kid” and opened up about her modest childhood to connect with viewers, claiming she “grew up with a lot of fast food and TV tray dinners.”“It feels like such a different time, but that was so normal with the microwavable kids meals,” Meghan says in the series. The former working royal added that she often reached for meals from Pollo Loco, Taco Bell and Jack In The Box — a claim she previously made in 2021, when she revealed that she “grew up on the $4.99 salad bar at Sizzler.”However, the revelation did not sit right with her estranged half-brother, who took aim at Meghan’s attempt at relatability.“That’s just another one of the malarkey stories she sold to the royal family for sympathy,” Thomas Jr. told TalkTV.
