Sophie Ellis-Bextor has released her indulgent new single ‘Freedom Of The Night’ and announced a UK headline tour.The singer has been enjoying a revival thanks to ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ featuring in Saltburn‘s iconic closing scene – leading to the single to chart at Number Two on the UK Singles Chart.Along with a string of dates visiting Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and more, Ellis-Bextor will round off her tour with a closing performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.“This year has been full of amazing tour dates around the world, and it has been so much fun,” Ellis-Bextor shared in a press release. “I absolutely love performing live, but it’s always an extra treat to be able to tour at home and I can’t wait to play my biggest dates in the UK yet next May and June.

Sigur Rós have announced a UK and European tour where they’ll perform with local orchestras, including a London residency – find all the details below.The Icelandic trio are set to perform in “some of the world’s most iconic orchestral venues” where they’ll showcase their 2023 album ‘ÁTTA’ alongside tracks from their extensive catalogue.Sigur Rós wrapped up a North American orchestral tour earlier this month. In November, they’ll kick off the Nordic leg ahead of further shows in Asia and Australia before heading to Europe and the UK next September.The latter stint will include a four-night residency at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London (September 30, October 1, 2, 3), marking their first-ever appearance at the venue.The band are due to be joined by and performing with the London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO), and all shows will be conducted by Robert Ames.Icelandic post-rock band @sigurros are coming to the Hall with the @LCOrchestra in autumn 2025.Priority Booking for Friends & Patrons open at 10am on Wed 16 Oct.

Elvis Costello has announced a new boxset and has shared a cover of country classic ‘Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line’ – check it out below.The song was written by Jimmy Bryant and recorded by Waylon Jennings in 1968, reaching Number Two on the US Hot Country Songs chart. It has subsequently been covered by artists including Linda Ronstadt and Hank Williams Jr, and now Costello has released his own version.The recording was captured live at the Royal Albert Hall in London when Costello played a six-date residency at the venue in early 1987.

David Gilmour played some Pink Floyd classics for the first time in several years during a live dress rehearsal of his upcoming tour.Gilmour is gearing up to launch a limited tour in London, Rome, Los Angeles, and New York later this week to promote his new album, ‘Luck and Strange’ – which came out on September 6.Playing two warm-up shows in Brighton, Gilmour played ‘Breathe (In The Air)’, a track from ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’, for the first time since 2006.
