Starsailor announce 2024 UK tour and new album ‘Where The Wild Things Grow’

Starsailor have announced a 2024 UK tour, alongside news of an upcoming album titled ‘Where The Wild Things Grow’.The band – consisting of frontman James Walsh, bassist James Stelfox, keyboardist Barry Westhead and drummer Ben Byrne – will kick off the tour on March 22 at the Par Hall in Warrington. From there, they will make stops in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Leeds, and Amsterdam.

Sløtface have collaborated with The Buoys for a new song – listen to ‘Fight Back Time’ below.The Norwegian act – as of last year now a solo project under Haley Shea – and the Australian indie rockers The Buoys linked up digitally to make the song, which is about the nagging feeling of always having to be switched-on.Sløtface’s Shea said in a statement: “‘Fight Back Time’ for me is about feeling way too caught up in everything you’re doing when you have too much going on, and desperately trying to grab some pieces of your life back so that you feel in control.“It’s about staying up late when you should get a good night’s sleep just to feel like you have some free time and feeling like there must be a fix to how you’re feeling out there somewhere. CMAT has released her latest single ‘Stay For Something’ – listen to the song below.Taken off her upcoming album ‘CrazyMad, For Me’ (out October 13), the single is accompanied by a music video which sees CMAT frolicking around a lush castle in a bright neon outfit.“It’s basically just about questioning why I stayed / suffered in a bad relationship for as long as i [sic] did,” said CMAT (real name Ciara Alice-Mary Thompson) of the track. “Trying to desperately find some kind of meaning in the mess and then being embarrassed when i remember the good parts.“It’s not very lyrical or poetic, it’s just a lot of emotion and energy – this song, to me, sounds like going for a run at 1am with your headphones on full blast, screaming through the streets in order to get away from your problems.

Gengahr have announced new dates on their upcoming UK and European tour headline tour later this year – find the dates below.Back in April the band announced their new album ‘Red Sun Titans’ – which came out June 9 – and 2023 UK tour with dates scheduled for cities including Birmingham, Manchester, London and more.The 2023 tour will kick off at Leicester’s O2 Academy on September 25 and finishes with a show at London’s Electric Ballroom on October 6 – you can purchase tickets here.Gengahr have now expanded the autumn tour into Europe, with new dates in Porto on October 12, Prague (14), Berlin (15), Amsterdam (16) and Paris (19).
